Putting it in dreamweaver

I encountered many problems with the navigation bar on Dreamweaver. I made it on Photoshop and tried to add it to the super size jquery settings for my webpage that is full screen.

First the navigation bar needed to be wrapped, so that it wasn't everywhere but at the bottom of the page, and next I had trouble with the layout of the Facebook and twitter pictures, the were positioned incorrectly and I ended up resizing them.

Another problem I did end up having was that the pictures for the slideshow would not upload, and I came across various problems that were on resolve.

Web banner and Interactive face chart

I was able to successfully produce my web banner and the interactive face chart. I sketched up a few hand drawn faces, scanned them into photoshop and using a range of barry M make up, I put together different looks.

I made two versions of 3 different looks, one with eyes closed and I wanted to make it that when a mouse roll-over the eyes they open. This functionality worked out extremely well.

The web banner turned out pretty well also, and the Nav bar was also made in Photoshop however there were quite a few problems I encountered on Dreamweaver with it.

I decided that it would be very important to do my own photo shoot for the lipstick, as a lot of make up advertising including websites always have models to display the product when it is worn and that is something I wanted to do likewise. Here are my chosen final pictures, I will be using for the site.

All the pictures were shot in a photostudio using a canon 450D. I ended up modelling also, as one of my models was unavailable for the shoot.

I really like the idea of having to press the letters that will link to the other sites.

I will have the logo and letter next to it, and the user can easily press the corresponding letter.







I want a full screen picture home page like the prada website.

Full screen homepage, with navigation on the left or, have a navigation bar on the bottom. Only problem with navigation on the left, is that it may make the page look boring, and it needs to look inviting, young and interesting for my target market.

 I was thinking that if I made the site into a flash site, to have a loading bar that is shaded in and turns from green to pink like the lipstick.







Another idea for homepage layout. To have the pages switch with arrow keys and different information on eachpage.

An idea for interactive element, was to have a make up face chart, when the mouse scrolls over the eyes, the eyes close to show the eye shadow.








I will also be making web banners that can be posted on forums and make up sites.

Barry M A touch of magic

My assignment is to choose something to promote. It could be a new product, game, film or event and basically whatever could be marketed  I decided to go for Barry M's Touch of magic lip paint, as it wasn't something that was marketed by the cosmetic company.
In the first half of the assignment was to research the target market for my product and create a detailed profile of your target user. Also researching other products that might be marketed to your user, and the strategies those companies use.
